Director, Head of Americas Retail QIS – Bank of America

Omar heads the Retail Quantitative Investment Strategies (QIS) team at Bank of America, based in New York. He leads the development of innovative investable indices solutions tailored for distribution through derivatives, annuities, structured notes, and fund wrappers. His work focuses on bridging quantitative research with practical product design to meet the evolving needs of the market.

Prior to joining Bank of America, Omar spent 11 years at BNP Paribas, where he most recently headed the Americas Retail QIS effort in New York. His career at BNP Paribas also included roles in France and the United Kingdom, covering both institutional and retail clients and giving him a broad international perspective on financial markets and product structuring.

Omar holds a Master’s degree in Quantitative Finance from Università Bocconi and a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics from Paris-Dauphine University.
